Wandering thoughts

As the summer starts to lose its grip and I watch the early leaves jump ship, I have an unusual desire to see autumn. It's firstly, because we'll be heading off to Denmark in under a month, but also because I've started to see it as the most beautiful time of the year, followed by my least favorite, loathsome winter. Ugh. But for now there's a relief in the air that the heat wave for the previous few weeks is over. And when I recall the humid, sweaty recent days, I think to myself, enjoy what will be one of the coolest summers for the rest of your life.
